Capital Campaign Assistant

First Unitarian Society - Madison, WI

Job Summary

The First Unitarian Society is looking for a temporary, part-time employee to provide entry-level administrative support throughout a capital campaign. This individual will be asked to assist in the preparation, organization, implementation and follow-up of the campaign and its related fundraising events. The responsibilities related with this effort are outlined in the areas below. The position reports to the Project Coordinator.

Essential Functions

Database Management

Enter and update donor information
Track guests for fundraising event
Assist in the receipt and distribution of auction items
Office Support

Assist in preparing capital campaign mailings
Attend meetings and take notes to be sent to committee members
Assist with reproduction of capital campaign materials such as posters, brochures, letters
Assist in the coordination of campaign kick-off event and wrap-up celebration

Assist with promoting fundraising event in various media markets
Assist and follow up on sponsorship opportunities
Minimum Qualifications

Proficiency with word processing (Microsoft Word), database software; experience with spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel); ability to learn new software applications

This is a part-time, temporary position. Estimating 10 hours per week, flexible in scheduling. The hourly wage is $13.00. No benefits are included.
